Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle On Sale – Buy Now

circle y reno trail saddle

The Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle is a heavy testament to the excellent craftsmanship while being light on the wallet. From the stunning designs on the outside to the advanced technology put into it, this is a saddle that will please any rider.

Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle Technology Meets Comfort

This is a saddle that’s equipped with the latest and greatest advancements in saddle technology while remaining a lightweight and durable option for riders. For example, the leather itself has been treated so it already feels broken in, and the seat is made up of a special foam to provide a soft cushion for riding those long distances.

Endurance riders will love this saddle given not only its light weight but the short skirt length will fit most Arabians. The Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle also comes with the ErgoBalance Stirrups, which make rides easier on the knees and ankles. The popular Flex2 tree has a proven track record of giving the rider balance and stability while being easy on the horse.

Style Unrivaled

But now focus on the exterior of the saddle. Having already touched on the soft leather, look at the fine details. The hand tooled camo border pairs nicely with the hardware that alternates between copper and nickel spots. And it comes in brown or black seats!

Small Business With a Big Market

Circle Y has a big reputation, and it started in a small town in Texas in the 1960s. Since their first orders of Leland Tucker’s saddles, they haven’t forgotten their roots. Every saddle is made in the same small town where it all started, Yoakum, Texas.

Every time you buy a Circle Y saddle, you’re really supporting a small business. But their saddles, like the Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle, speak for themselves of the employees’ craftsmanship and pride in their work.

Customers have a high regard for Circle Y saddles. They’re well known amongst Endurance and trail riders, especially for those with Arabians as they’re built for short back horses.

Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle Specs

Specs:
Tooling: 1/2 Spider with Camo Border Hand Tooled
Skirt: 15″ D x 26.5″ L
Rigging: 3-Way Adjustable In-Skirt

Compared to similar saddles out there, the Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle is lighter (coming in at around 30 pounds), flashier (loving those details and the bits of bling), and cheaper (only on the wallet and never on the quality).

Given the fact that this saddle’s price tag isn’t big, this could easily be a starter saddle for the show ring. It’s suitable for multiple sizes of horses and riders since it comes in so many seat and tree sizes.

Versatility is a rider’s friend, especially if you have multiple horses, and this saddle has many options to choose from to make sure both you and your horse are comfortable for those long trail rides.

My Final Word

The Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle is as good a deal as you’re going to find. With everything else in the world getting more expensive, this price tag makes buying this saddle an easy decision. Would you like to read more trail saddle reviews? Please read my “Circle Y Flex2 Trail Saddle Review”.

    Hello Salisha,

Thank you for this article and I learned something new today. While I can only count on my right fingers how many times I’ve gone horseback riding in my lifetime, I think just once or twice and that is when I was a kid on a farm and not in a park (I remember that saddle was comfortable for me), nonetheless, this is very interesting. Now I know that saddles are critical that they should fit on the horse, or else they will not perform well. Saddles should also be comfortable for the horse and the rider.

I am glad that there are still small businesses that take pride in the craftsmanship of their products and are not overcome by the big brands.

Hi Lemuel. Thanks for commenting! I’m so glad you understand that saddles need to fit both rider and horse. And yes, The Horse Saddle Shop takes pride in its craftsmanship of their saddles and other products. I hope to see you again.

It’s a wonderfully written review and packed with needed information for you considering buying the Saddle.

The Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle offers comfort to both horse and the rider.

The impact foam seat offers unmatched comfort in the saddle. It offers maximum cushion without wearing down quickly. The Engineering has made sure of every comfort to both the riders and the horse.

I personally don’t own a horse but have horse rides on the beach for fun.

The price is great looking at the convenience it offers.

Does this product come with a warranty?

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi Anusuya. Thanks for you comment and question.  Yes, all of the saddles sold on my site come with a warranty.  I sell on behalf of The Horse Saddle Shop.  In fact, you’re given a money back guarantee on all saddles.

  • Thabo says:

Thank you for this review. I was checking this for my friend’s horse. Would you recommend it for any kind of horse?

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi Thabo. Thanks for your question. Just like there are different types of saddles for different sports, there are different horses best suited for different sports/activities. I’d say, if you’re going to go trail riding, which is what this saddle is for, the most important thing to do is to make sure you measure the horse’s back and determine what size saddle seat you need. HOWEVER, Quarter horses are ideal for trail riding. They are hardy sure-footed horses that can handle a variety of terrains. Their stocky compact bodies give them a better center of balance, helping them over obstacles and uneven terrain. I hope this answers your question.

I just looked at the saddle and my friend really needs a saddle for riding the trail … Do you think it’s suitable for that?

        • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi there. Thanks for your question. This is a trail saddle, so it should be good. Absolutely.

  • stephanie c. says:

These look like beautiful saddles, I always thought saddles were so expensive, but I never actually bought one myself. I want to start horseback riding so bad, as I live in the country and can take lessons anywhere. I dont have nearly a big enough property for my own horses, but Id sure love to go riding, I will make sure to keep this one in mind when I do need my own saddle, as I want to need one soon! Especially one with a good foam on the seat for better comfort. As riding can be uncomfortable.

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi Stephanie. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Yes, investing in a good saddle is so important. Many riders don’t understand that if the saddle doesn’t fit the horse properly, the horse will not perform well. Make sure you visit us before you buy the saddle. We’ll help you pick the right size and fit for your horse.

Hi Shalisha, great review of the Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle, quite detailed with all important points covered. It’s been a long time since I sat a horse but I gotta tell you, if I was looking for a saddle, this one would be at the top of my list. If its ok with you, I will share your article with friends.
I particularly like all of the beautiful hand tooling. Years a go I had an Emor hand made in High River Alberta. Another family small business who have not sacrificed increased production for quality.

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi William. Thanks so much for commenting. A good review is everything. The Circle Y Reno Trail Saddle is truly a great saddle because it takes into consideration the horse’s comfort and the rider’s comfort. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Come back again.

  • Chastity says:

    Hi Shalisha,

These saddles look like they are very good quality. You said they are made in a small town in Texas by a small company. Are these handmade? They look and sound like a great buy. I’ll have to bookmark this for when I need to get a saddle.

    Thank you for sharing,

    Chastity

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi Castity. Thanks for your question. The Circle Y Reno Trail saddle is an excellent buy. The list price is $2,805.00. However, we are selling it on behalf of the Horse Saddle Shop, for $2,550.00. Is it handmade? No. Machines do the majority of the work. I hope I’ve helped you.

  • Barbara says:

    Hi,

This is a very well-written review. The description is detailed and you have brought out excellent points about this saddel. I must admit I don’t have a lot of experience in this area. I did have a horse about 35 years ago, but things have changed a lot.

I think you did a great job on this review and I have no negative comments to make on it.

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi Barbara. Thanks so much for your comment. I welcome all feedback. I do the best I can to inform my readers so that they can make the best decision they can before purchasing a saddle. I hope you’ll get another horse.

  • Julia says:

Hi Shalisha, even though I don’t ride horses, when I was a kid I had the opportunity to ride donkeys.
Back then I have no recollection of sitting on a saddle, as it was brief and on a farm, so saddles weren’t a thing, but these are lovely saddles and would be a great find for anyone who needs a new saddle.

They look really well made and quite exquisite pieces, if I had it my way I would put one on display as they are lovely to look at.
Your article is current, informative and nice and neat to look at. I also like the large images you display as it’s good for someone to see exactly what the saddle looks like, before buying.
Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
    Julia.

    • Shalisha Alston says:

Hi Julia. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experience. Yes, these saddles are made with the utmost care. I’m so glad you enjoyed my review.
