Julie Goodnight Saddles Sale – For Long Comfortable Rides

Julie Goodnight Saddles Sale

If you have good enough timing to catch a Julie Goodnight Saddles sale, it’s worth considering. Even if you already have a trusty saddle.

These saddles, thoughtfully created, benefit not only from Circle Y’s long history of excellent saddle craftsmanship, but collaborator Julie Goodnight’s decades of multi-disciplinary riding and training experience.

And speaking from personal experience, once you ride in a memory foam seat, you’ll never want to go back.

Julie Goodnight saddles have consistently rave reviews, with many happy equestrians calling the saddles the “best purchase I’ve made in a long time”, “the best I’ve ever owned”, “beautiful” and a “super comfy, supportive saddle”.

You’ll want to make the most of the Julie Goodnight saddles sale.

Heads up though, the Julie Goodnight saddles sale doesn’t happen often, so catch it now!

Who is Julie Goodnight?

A lifetime horse lover and experienced rider in multiple disciplines, Julie Goodnight is the host of the popular TV show Horse Master with Julie Goodnight.

The show helps viewers train their horses and is aired weekly on RFD-TV for 11 years. Now, Julie is working on reaching a broader audience with her production company 2Horse Productions.

Julie put her decades of experience into designing the perfect saddles in her collaboration with Circle Y.

While a lot of saddles inhibit proper positioning, her saddles help put the rider’s legs in the correct position.

Comfort was also at the forefront of her mind when designing her saddles. The seat features memory foam for the rider’s comfort.

The highest quality leather from Hermann Oak was used, and it is treated with Softee Leather (on most Julie Goodnight saddles) so there is practically no break-in period.

The EBS (ErgoBalance Stirrups) stirrups are pre-twisted so you don’t have to fight the new leather to conform to your leg, or stick a broomstick through the saddle in storage as we’ve all probably done at one point with a new saddle.

If you’re thinking you want to make the most of the Julie Goodnight saddles sale, a great entry-level saddle is the Circle Y Julie Goodnight Cascade Crossover Flex2 Trail 1753.

This is the lightest saddle in the Julie Goodnight range, sitting at 23lbs.

It was designed for comfort over long rides, with a plaited night latch for rider safety, and multiple footman’s loops so you have lots of options when attaching gear.

Often, western saddles can feel uncomfortably wide for a lot of riders.

To help with this, Julie and Circle Y cut away a lot of the extra bulk from under the leg area to help make a closer, soft contact between horse and rider.

There is no fleece on the bottom of the saddle for closer contact and to make the saddle narrower for the rider.

Comfort was not just a priority for the rider, but also the horse. Instead of bulky fleece under the saddle, the designers used a nitro gel pad to cushion for the horse’s comfort.

The saddles all feature a nice wide gullet to give air space for the horse’s spine. If you’re in the market for an ultra-comfortable saddle, then check out the Julie Goodnight saddles sale.

14″ to 17″ Julie Goodnight Blue Ridge Flex2 Trail Saddle 1751

List Price: $2,748.00
Horse Saddle Shop Price: $2,499.00
Rating: 5 stars

Features:

  • Flex2 tree
  • Impact Foam
  • Softee Leather
  • Flex2 Tunnel Skirt
  • Neo-Shock skirt
  • EBS (ErgoBalacne Stirrups)
  • Slip-Not skirt liner
  • 3-Way adjustable in-skirt rigging

The Julie Goodnight Blue Ridge Flex2 Trail Saddle 1751 features that gel pad.

Available with seat sizes from 14 inches to 17 inches the Julie Goodnight Blue Ridge Flex2 Trail Saddle 1751 is one of the best saddles you can get for the money.

It comes in three colors; Walnut, Regular Oil and Black.

The Flex2 tree also has two sizes so you can fit the saddle to your horse; regular or wide. The skirt design makes this the obvious choice for short-backed or gaited horses.

The beautiful leather features diamond border tooling and silver conchos. The 3-way adjustable in-skirt has an angled rear dee. It weighs about 30 lbs.

Additionally, a lot of saddles can have the tendency to not fit in the back.

If the horse has a short spine or the spine raises higher than usual, the back of the western saddles can put too much pressure and cause the horse to develop sores.

But not with the Julie Goodnight saddles, because these saddles have extra room built in specifically to avoid this thanks to the Flex2 Tunnel Skirt, featured on the Circle Y Julie Goodnight Teton Flex2 Trail 1760.

Julie Goodnight Saddles Sale #3

14″ to 17″ Circle Y Julie Goodnight Teton Flex2 Trail 1760

List Price: $2,519.55
Horse Saddle Shop Price: $2,270.00
Rating: 4.5 stars

Features:

  • Flex2 tree
  • Impact Foam
  • Flex2 Tunnel Skirt
  • Neo-Shock skirt
  • EBS (ErgoBalacne Stirrups)
  • 3-Way adjustable in-skirt rigging

Even better, all Julie Goodnight saddles come with a matching pad. So not only will your saddle and pad combo be aesthetically pleasing, but having a matching pad helps the fit and therefore your horse will be more comfortable.

Another cool thing is that all of the Julie Goodnight Saddles (except for the fourth option we share below) have multiple rigging options.

In combination with the Flex2 tree, these saddles feature two dee-rings for 3/4 rigging, 7/8s rigging, and full rigging.

Having several rigging options means your saddle is highly versatile and can fit many varieties of horses and give greater clearance in the shoulder.

The rigging options:

  • Full Rigging: Full rigging is when the dee-ring for the cinch is positioned directly under the pommel. Often, this requires a flank or rear cinch to stop the rig from lifting up in the back when traveling downhill or for working cows.
  • ⅞ Rigging: The dee-ring is positioned ⅞ of the way from the cantle to the pommel. This configuration brings the pressure slightly back from the front of the saddle. Some people still use a rear cinch with this configuration. This setup helps take the pressure off of the horse’s withers.

¾ Rigging: Like the ⅞ Rigging setup, the ¾ Rigging configuration places the dee-ring for the cinch latigo ¾ of the way between the cantle and pommel. This puts more pressure on the center of the saddle instead of the front.

The Circle Y Julie Goodnight Monarch saddle has all the rigging options, so if that’s what you are looking for in the Julie Goodnight saddles sale, look no further.

It is very similar to the Circle Y Julie Goodnight Blue Ridge Saddle we talked about earlier.

The difference between the two lies in the leather tooling and horn size. The Monarch features leaf tooling, and a 2.25” horn cap (compared to the 3” cap on the Blue Ridge).

This saddle does not have the angled rear dee that the Blue Ridge has, too. It weighs about 32 lbs
